Hello everyone. I just recently did a 7MGE swap out of an 86.5 Supra into my 87 4Runner and Ive ran into a little snag. When I start it up it does the same thing my Supra did, the CSI would kick on and rev it up to around 3K and then slowly drop down, I'm able to give it gas. Then when it drops to about 1K it acts like the fuel cut off and starts sputtering and doesn't respond when I give it gas, it will do this for a few seconds before it dies. The motor ran awesome before I yanked it. I did an EGR delete and blocked off the ports and checked the vacuum lines, gonna double check when I get it back from the exhaust shop. I'm assuming the AFM and COR is hooked up correctly since I'm getting fuel for the CSI. Any ideas?:dunno:

I knew I was forgetting to add something, no codes. Haven't checked either, but neither were touched in the swap. The car ran great, pulled the motor, sat it on a pallet, removed EGR, and installed. Well then again, my buddy washed the engine before it was pulled and he said it was running kinda funny, but I thought that would have been a water issue and dry out like they normally do, and it's just straight up not responding when it drops to a grand.

Woot! Found the problem. Apparently there's a black and white wire that comes out of the connector with a couple wires I needed for the EFI, turns out it's a ground I needed. One of those stupid little big problems.

I live in Lewiston. Don't think this is a get my answer and bail, I'm gonna be a frequent viewer for any 7M issues, but thanks for the ideas AJ!
