So Im about to order my Clevites rod bearings from titan. I hear that I have to order seperate sizes?

All of my rods are STOCK in size but have either a 1 2 or 3 on the rod caps. Do I need to specially order rod bearings of each size or something? There isnt an option on titan to do that, just how many I need. My other thread showed a pic of what Im ordering at the checkout.

Any help b4 tomorrow when I order? I cant clal them Im at work all day everyday,.

Clevite has standard, .010" under, and .020" under rod bearings, they do not offer .030" under anymore.

I would recommend resizing the rods on every 7m build, then checking the crank journals and grinding it if necessarry. Even if you go with the same bearing sizes Toyota used for your rods that does not mean it will still be the correct specs if you replace the bearings. And with all the people spinning rod bearings it's a good idea to make sure everything is right. If you use ARP rod bolts you have to sesize the rods reguardless.

ok, resize the rods, get the correct sizes, check crank journals, micropolish if needed, how much is all that gonna cost. The only damage was one bearing, the crank, rod and everything around all of it are fine, the rods not even ovaled out.

You said Cyl. #3 was a size 2 right?

Size 2 = 1.496-1.5 (0.0587 - 0.0589)

If the caps and journals are still in spec then I think thats what you should get if your not gonna micropolish or anything.

BTW. A local shop around here quoted me $680 to do bearings (including micropolish/resize).
