7mge motor swap

Hey Everyone,

I just bought a 1986 Supra NA 5spd and it has a knock at about 1500 to 3000 rpm. I am going to be replacing the motor and was wondering if its easy to pull the motor without the tranny? Or would it be quicker to pull it all?

its easiest to pull it all at once, then separate it outside of the car.

i used this guide and adjusted for my 7mge, but it was practically the same.
the only thing you've got to watch for is the downpipe brace attached to the passenger side of the block, i missed it and ended up dropping the whole exhaust system before i saw the clamp.
