Sorry these may have been answered.. i tried searching..


I need to know if its possible to do a ring job while the block is in the car.
(any clearence issues with crossmember or anything else?)

And if not.. should i pull the engine w/ the tranny or just the engine.????

Im going to go take off the I/M and exhaust mani right now.. and all the wiring, etc.

almost 100% sure you gotta pull the motor out cause to take the pistons out you have to disconect the rods from the crank. you could do it with the motor in but you would probally save time by pulling it out. when i pulled my motor out i just left the tranny and put a jack stand on the crossmember to the tranny to hold it up.

okee doke thx guys...i'm going to go ahead and only pull the head today and inspect the pistons and cyl. walls. I at the very least am pulling the head off.. and replacing the valve seals, and doing a full head job... pics soon.

Pull the motor with the tranny attached for sure.
