7MGE Knock Sensor

Is the NA knock sensors the same as the turbo knock sensor?

Can they be repaired? I pulled the green connector and wire out of the block and the plastic glued to the metal came with it. The metal part that screws into the block is still in the block.

Anyone have an extra NA sensor in Denver, or can ship to 80030?

You can buy one from the dealer.
They are under 200 bucks.

Did you break the connector from the wiring harness???
If so you can order that from the dealership as well.

You don't need a new knock sensor, so my bad.
It sounds like you are in the same boat as I am with this sensor.

The metal screw in part is still in the block. But the green plastic that is attached broke off when I was trying to disconnect it. The green plastic part is still attached to the green plug of the wiring harness.

You just need to get that plug and re-wire it.
Your dealer is where to go.

if the plug on the ks is broke, you'll need a new one.....
and the turbo or N/A are same sensors. you could get one here from somebody for cheap, trust me.

And the plug for the knock sensor.
They guys at toyota never officially figured that out.
I had to call a dealer ship in tennessee to get confirmation.

how do you think they are going to charge that much for a plastic connector the size of a quarter???????

turbo and N/A knock sensors are interchangable.

if you broke the actual KS (knock sensor), buy one used. many toyotas use the same one our cars do. go to a junkyard and score one for $10.

you should just do a full rewire anyway.

don't mess with old connectors. get a brand new one from the dealer. (about $8) it's P/N 8221989103
