few questions;

what are you going for with this? uniqueness, high performance?

what is an ITB? i'm assuming it has something to do with the throttle body or intake.... maybe...lol

individual throttle bodies?

what the advantage of having that?

Yes, biggest advantage is throttle response:icon_bigg . Allows for a bit more power with supporting mods but crack the throttle and the car will instantly respond.

awesome. makes sence, and that's really cool!! why isnt this done more often? the closest TB i've seen that isnt in the stock place is the stock/slightly upgradet TB moved right next to the modified intakes on some supras, where they avoid going over the engine and simply pull air from the right side of the engine bay.

nice. i look forward to hearing it. you should take a video once this beast is up and running.

so...i take it you will not be adding a turbo. ever. right? do you have a guess range for expected HP/torque numbers with this combo? i'm just curious, mainly because i've never heard of it before.

why the 5mge block and not a 7m?

Here is the latest pic of my 24v project!
I just finished polishing the valves and now i can start to make the flance between the itb´s and the head !

It is hard work but i am sure it is worth it :)!

I want to build it on a 5mge bottom because i then have bore/stroke 83/85mm and then the engine should rev faster! But i just build it...then will we see if it works :)

No it is a sony dsc-s650....dont know if it is good or not....it is ok for me!

Here is latest pic from my 24v project!

It is the 7mge pistons that i just cleaned and mounted the rings again!
Wont offer a ring set for it because, when i can afford it, there will come custom made rods and 85 mm pistons in the block!
So i got bore/stroke at 85/85 :)!

Hey all.
As you see here i am still working on all of my projects :)
Just started to made the flance between the itb and the 7m head today....here is some pic!

Picture Album with PicTiger

I also made me 6 new alu butterflyes....because i used the other original BMW M3 butterflyes in my homemade itb on my 6m!
It wasn´t easy to made it because it was 49.96 mm x 50.18mm......not just a circle but an elipse!
But after some serious head work and a few drawings it came to an perfect result :)!
Tomorrow i will work on the project again the whole day....hopefully with some more pic to you all later.

Very Very nice, and coming from a guy who hates NA Supra's thats a compliment. May not make big power but I bet its fun as hell to drive, very nice man very unique. One reason I love driving newer M3's when I can is the throttle response.

IIRC Skylines use this on the RB26 factory setup and that helps them make power, but I can't remember for sure.
