yeah so im swaping a 7m into my mk2 and when i got my motor (free :) ) it didnt have cams. so i was talkin to a friend and he had some extra turbo cams for a 7m just layin around. so i was like sure i'll take them. since they are not stock do i have to change anything else in the valvetrain? im getting 350 valve springs also. i know turbo cams have lower lift but im on a small budget right now and just gotta do with what i have. any other things i should know or change? like on my friends sr20 when we rebuilt it with new cams we had to get new rocker arms. is there anything like that in comparasion to a 7m?

there are way too many sizes for the shims...Even if you had NA cams, its still recommended to measure clearance and shim as needed. As far as I know, all you need is a feeler gauge at a minimum.
