Ok ive searched many many many threads and posts tryina go figure out what is needed to make a 600hp 7m (just to be safe) i have many modds now pistons, rods, FMIC, oil cooler, clutch,lw flywheel, Garrett turbo, 3' exhaust, blah blah most of the supporting modds except the fuel system but thats next. anyone mind telling me what else i would need for the hp that i might be missing? whats need for head, and engine.

idk what piggy back to use the GEMB, GEMU, AEM FIC or would a VPC work? ive heard of getting a reprogrammed ecu anyone have any suggestions?

the engine is apart right now

For 600hp no piggyback is safe...one should go standalone (aem, motec, megasquirt, etc)...there are modified ecu's out there but they still suck and are very rare...nobody mods stock ecu's anymore as piggyback are cheapish....

First thing I'm sure people want to know first is...what mods do you have....we need fine details! Upgraded oil cooler isn't telling me shit...I want to know is it a full flow system that's thermostat controled etc...what brand pistons do you have...what rods do you have...don't say blah blah give us details!

he's right you seem to be getting way to ahead of yourself. It sound like you have some nice mods but it also seems that you don't know what it really is going to take for 600hp.Theres nothing wrong with taking your time to get good results!!slow down to speed up..get it lol

ok maybe i should have been more specfic right now im still close to the stock stage and wont be hitting 600 for awhile. Right now max i would want to make is 400 then move on up when i feel comfortable. maybe my question should be what would make a good 400-450hp 7m (daily driveable) and 600 be my longterm.

.40 oversized wiseco pistons
eagle h-beam rods
full 3' exhaust
fidanza 11lb flywheel
RPS max clutch
oil pump
waterpump
thermostat
FMIC & hardpipes
Garrett turbo not installed
MHG
ARP head studs
stock head assembly
gates timing belt
ebay oil cooler kit
intake
stock fuel system
street fire rev limiter
new bearings & gaskets
(maybe leaving something out)

what electronics would i be needing to tune with. Currently i dont have anything would like to stay away from standalone until i reach my higher hp goals would NEO so SAFC work for the 450? if not then what would be my best bet

I'm doing some thing similar. Going for 420rwhp everyday and just over 500rwhp on race gas. For my goal for now I'll be running a LEX afm and HKS SAFR with some 680cc injectors. I ran on this setup for over 4 years over 400rwhp and was fine. But I want a little more, now so rebuilding my motor with my JE pistons and some eagle rods. You can do 500rwhp with a Lex or better yet a Maft pro or VPC. But much more than than you are going to need a ECU that can control timing. Later on I'll be saving up for a AEM so I can have a 2 step and full control.

What does it require to get to Z HP?

X fuel and Y air.

No X fuel = lean, dead motor.
Not enough Y air means turbo choking the air flow so you will not attain Z HP.

In short it is a simple lbs/min worth of air with the correct fueling to achieve the power. Number of cylinders and displacement just moves when the power will be reached (high, med, low RPM's).

With that said, have you ever even driven a 400 rwhp car (regardless of the brand) to even warrant a 600hp smoke show?

Search, research and learn. Asking of what it takes means you need to learn the basic premise of an engine. (ie a big AIR PUMP and nothing more).

/thread.
