7M-GTE parts on 7M-GE

Just wondering if it is possible with some aftermarket 7M-GTE engine parts to use on a NA 7M-GE engine? I was thinking along the lines of cam gears or sumthin.


Also is it worth getting head work done on a 7M-GE ie. taking .020 off the head and valve work?

Yes I am sure that some aftermarket things can be swapped between the 7m-gte and the 7m-ge. I believe the only major differences between the motors is that the GTE has lower compression pistons, some GTEs have oil squirters and the GTE cams are different. (Some turbo guys swap to the NA cams.) If I am wrong I am sure someone will step in and correct me. As far as head work I think anytime you can get the head to work more efficently it is worth it. I personally had my head ported & polished and I believe it made a big difference in how the car performs.
