Alright well I took this head off my JDM motor I got, I found out it had rod knock and it was a good thing I checked it all out. When I took apart the bottom end Cyl. #1 rod bearing was in 3 pieces.
Anyhow.my plans are to have it resurfaced fro a MHG.
If any photo's need to be larger or you cannot see them let me know. I just got a new camera I hope the camera was worth the money.
I got the head off and I can see it has clearly been resurfaced. The numbers on the head were stamped, 018. I am curious as to the amount taken off .18? .018?
Also I have some scratches. The head gasket didn't blow or anything and there not in the way of the combustion chamber.
Also on the combustion chamber in this photo you can see at the end there, there is about 1 mm of material missing there, it's like a step. I am wondering if someone took this off or what?
If you can see from some of the pictures it looks a machine cut a circle around each combustion chamber. I am not quite sure if I remember this right, but does this seal the head gasket more?
You can see it close up on this photo.
This angle you can see two chambers with it there
Thanks for the help.
