Well, I am working on my 1jz head, which is basically the same as the 7M head, at least for the valve seals. I cannot get these things off, i got 1, took me 5 minutes.. They don't slide off, does anyone have any suggestions... I don't wan tot spend 5 minutes or more per valve 24.. Thanks guys.

I'd get it under the lip and pull back to pry it up, then you can get under the lip even better and hook it off.

The older they are the harder the material is...

Hey poodles. I have great news After I struggled with the first side, I figured out what to do, and I timed myself on the exahust side. I did it in 4 minutes 48 seconds. :)

I took a little flat head screw driver, and what do do is find the lip that goes over the valve guide. Then take a hammer it it, and you will basically reip a hole through the side of the stem seal, if you don't do that you will notice the stem is coming off anyhow. :D Turned this long houred job into a 15 minute breeze once you learn how to do everything that is about how long a head should take.

i used this spark plug boot remover(red handle plier looking thing) to pull the seal's off the guide.it take's about a second each one and no accidental damage to a guide.
