7M-GTE Builders?

My main decision is between the 7M-GTE swap and the 2J-GTE swap. I really do like the fact that the 7M-GTE swap is a lot cheaper and easier. However I definitely would like to get the engine rebuilt professionally if I decide to go this route. I'm on the east coast, does anyone know of anybody over here that could do it? I've posted on the New England forum, but no has written back.

I'm north ... way north of you :p Regarding the 7m vs 2j debate... 2j will absorb your wallet and require extensive modification to the firewall regardless of the cost of the engine itself. Also, the 7m is a perfectly good engine unless you are trying to go insanely fast. In that case, get a civic hatch and swap a b16c into it :p

Any clue to my question of finding a good engine builders?

P.S. I'd be going with a single turbo setup so there would be no firewall mods necessary. The cost of 2jz swap is really not that bad if you actually look into it. Well from my stand point it's not that expensive, I don't know about you.

i'm in central Mass and I know Deleware is far away but I have found a few shops up here. I am using a guy that builds import and domestic motors. He has my 7m-gte and a 2jz in the shop that he is building right now. I also found another place over the weekend that deals strictly with imports. When i checked it out thier were building a sr20det, a 4G63 for an evo and two 2JZs. I dont know what kind of build up you are looking for but pm if you have any questions

If you are willing to ship the motor, I've only got one machinist/engine builder that I would trust with a Supra motor at this point.

Bryan Maloof Racing Inc
2860 Buford Highway Suite D, Duluth, GA 30096
Phone: (770) 622-4979

This man has incredible attention to detail and he doesn't need any "coaching" to get the job done right. In the 20+ years I've been building & racing cars, I have never found a better machinist/engine builder.

Bryan is familar with the JZ & M series Toyota motors and has built a ton of them.

I can't say enough about the quality of his work or his professional integrity.

That's awesome. I'll have to give them a call! That's the type of answer I've been looking for. Thanks again!

Byran Maloof is unbelievable. He is currently building my engine, one that will eventually see 800+hp(its a 7m). We are discussing VERY advanced head modifications.

One warning, he isnt cheap, but by no means unreasonable. His work is worth much more then he charges.

um, try MKIII Revolution, they are here in raleigh, and are very good too.

Email me for details if you want. They _only_ do 7M-GTE motors.
