Hey guys, I am sure this is a repeat question but I could not find anything with the search. I was wanting to know what the stock psi is on the ct turbo and also what some of you run on the stock turbo?

i went to 13 psi on an all stock motor with only a K&N intake, MBC, and Turbo Timer. It lasted about a week of pushing it. Than i blew my head gasket (oem not MHG). The turbo can hold up to 15 psi. but you have to do the correct mods to your motor to let it run at 15. I'd only trust the stock motor up to 10 psi. any higher, you'll have a BHG.

Ok, so If I havn;t shown my,"Noobness," to 7M motors already...I'm about to lol. What is MBC? Unfortunatly, I am a Honda guy who is new to Supras, but absolutely loves them so I am trying to learn termonology(spelling? I'm drinking:biglaugh:) I have had extreme power cars before(Hondas') But want to make this a fast daily driver. Thats why I am trying to learn. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, should have noted some other small mods will be added to compensate for added stress. Such as; exhaust, B.O.V, FMIC, Injectors, Fuel Management, etc... No internal work otherwise. Just wanting safe stock boost on turbo with these mods. I am not looking for 7M-GTE monster, just fast daily.

MBC=Manual boost controler.
On your turbo there is a fitting on the compressor side with a hose that runs to the wastegate actuator. The pressure the turbo creates operates the actuator. which opens the wastegaste slowly as neccesary to limit boost. Unplugging it will cause a dangerous boost spike that will almost certainly lead to catastrophic failure. A manual boost controller cuts off the pressure to the actuator until it reaches the desired pressure (manually adjusted via knob) at this point the pressure is released to the actuator opening the wastegate. This allows you to increase your boost, and also causes the wastegate to open more rapidly. There are other methods of increasing boost such as placing washers on the mounting bolts between the actuator and the turbo housing. this works fine for some but is considered sketchy to others.

And word to the wise, Im a honda lover myself, but there are many honda haters here. I consider Extreme power to be no less than 500WHP. Considering the concept of boost is new to you, Theres no way youve seen anything close to those figures in a honda, not even an NSX or an S2K. Not tryin to insult you man but watch your word choice on things like that and keep in mind that alot of these guys eat honda lovers for breakfast.

with those mods that you listed... you'd be prertty quick.. stock turbo is said to only be good till 14psi, anything above 14 on stock turbo your baking the turbo with heat. You can always upgrade the turbo however you see fit.

Not really. Just factually incorrect troll haters. For example, the NSX is one of the best machines ever made.
