Ive read (and im sure you all know) that you are sopposed to fill the 7M-GTE a quart over full to prevent oil starvation in a long, fast, left (?) turn. Is it the same way with the 7M-GE?

The capacity for the 7mge is 5.4 quorts and you do not want to over fill the oil. that is bad for the engine. look at your oil sending unit that might be going out.
Yeah you can fill the 7mge one quart over as well, gives you a safety margin and prevents starving the pump under hard braking. Just fill it up until it shows full on the dipstick, then add one full quart. IIRC someone measured the pan and it is plenty deep enough to hold the extra oil without coming close to the crankshaft.
I remember IJ used to recommend several quarts over on the GTE, so yea, one over is ok (it's what I do it).
oh, awesome this is good info ive been wondering how our oil pumps can handle over filling.. but wont this ruin your pcv system?
6qt's is nowhere near the crank, the crankcase isn't pressurised so overfilling has 0 effect as long as the crank isn't dipping into the Oil and whipping it up.
