So here's the crazy story. My buddy has a really good condition MKII that one day we decided it would be fun to put an extra 7M-GE he had lying around into it. We got the motor in, but never finished the wiring.....

fast forward a few months, he buys another MKII from a local kid. The body's not the best, but it has a modded 7M-GTE under the hood. His plans are to swap the GTE and harness over into his good body.

Then I got the idea. How about while the harness is out, copy it to make the GE harness work, then put the GE back into the bad shell. Then, sell the car to me for next to nothing.

I think it would make a great winter beater.

opinions?

Do the bodywork, then have a sweet ride as a DD.

I plan on it. The previous owner decided the car looked better flat black, and spraypainted the whole car.

I figure if I'm sanding off all of the flat black, I might as well do all the rust and bodywork too, then give it a new coat of paint.

What's with me and buying cars covered with spraypaint.

Swap to GTE electronics while your at it - go for TooKwik's COP setup....and then if you want to, you can add a turbo without any hassle :D
Actually, I'm planning on putting my extra megasquirt ecu I have lying around on the car. I even have a friend with a megasquirt 6M I could steal the basemaps off of.
