what is the max RPM for these? I would guess they support 9,000 rpms stock? This also includes the spark quality with a good coil, etc...

Yeah, this is just a question about the distributor. I searched and found nothing.


Is there anyone who's gone turbo, or makes high HP who cranks them this high?

yeah if youre asking us who's modded it to go to 9k, i dont think youll get many answers.

Limit currently set at 7000rpm may be pushed as high as 8000rpm when I get cams so far dizzy is still fine.

yeah the rev-limiter is there for a very good reason.

unless you upgrade internals i think its a very bad idea. i dont know for sure but...logically.... i agree with Kai.

yes, kai is right on this one. of course if you're building it to go past 9k, make sure its up to the task.

Even with ARP hardware, the best pistons money can buy and a £5000 rebuild, i *still* wouldnt trust the engine past 7500rpm. It's just not designed for that. And if you were going to spend that much money getting it there - why not just go 1JZ and reve the nuts off it?

isnt the 7m powerband down in the lower range anyway? thats why people like these engines, the point is NOT to rev!

I'll shoot for 9K on a toyota distributor. This is on a 1jz-gte bottom end. This thread is for the distributors.

oh..lol...what's on the top end? i'm learning what combos you can do... 2jz top maybe?

lol...thats a hybrid....7m ignition, 1jz block and a 2jz head? let me guess, you have cams from another different engine...
