I thought the same thing about the even distribution on the inital hit, I don't know how uneven it would be. I don't think by much or at least not enough to be dangerous. I have seen simaler designs used with success. But I was also thinking about taking and using the same plate and just drill and tap in nozzles on the bottom so you could just make direct port a bolt on instead of having to ruin your manifold. I really like this design because it is low profile and great for the N/A guys.

It would only suck what was left from the tube to the valve that isn't much.

I could see plumbing this from both sides to distribute the hit evenly, but I am not sure on how much more efficent that is.
