Okay heres the deal, new to the whole supra thing, picked up the car few weeks back, did some mods and whatnot. My car runs and drives good but the next morning or hours after I shut it down then it takes about 7 cranking seconds to start and when it does start, sometimes stumbles a little then once running its fine. What do you supra buffs think? My theory is leaking injectors because I know RX-7's have the same issues and thats what it is with them. (also own one) If it is injectors they look faily easy to change, but then again so did the fuel filter haha. tell me what you buffs think

Thanks Eric

injectors leaking down is a possibility. i would check fuel pressure as well

after an hour of the car being off, the fuel pressure has most likely dropped to 0psi anyways...

the system doesnt stay pressurized all the time... and if so, only a little bit of pressure. (i've got a mechanical fuel pressure gauge, and i've checked before)

chances are you have a bad CSI, as supra90turbo stated, or that the CSI time switch isn't plugged in/working properly.

Easy enough to check the CSI system. Next time its cold, unplug the connector for the CSI temp switch, and jump the terminals in the connector. This will manually coplete the circuit to the injector during cranking. If it starts right up, do it again after its cold. If it starts right up, then the temp/time switch is bad. They are not cheap.

If it does not start as outlined above, you'll have to check the injector itself. Follow the TSRM for that.

i have a similar problem... i'm waiting for my other project to be done so i can throw the supra in the garage, but here's an easy fix that might work... i used to sit there and crank for 6-7 seconds... now i just crank for 2-3, stop, and try again and it fires right up. it's a good holdover to not burning up your starter until you can get the issues sorted.
