I am going to get my ct rebuilt and upgraded. I have been reading some threads on here and they said there is a relyability issue with the 60-1 over the 57trim why is that. And what kinda problems have people been having.

The wheel on the front is just too big - puts too much stress on the center rotating assembly. Therefore, they tend to self destruct - shaft play increases until they start chewing themselves to bits.
Just get the 57. It can make over 400hp...if you want more than that...its time to move on from the CT26.

complete bolt on all the heat shields will fit, accordian hose( have to stretch it & most be in good cond.), bolts on stock exhaust manifold, and more imprtantly more reliablity than the CT. The exhaust housing is a lot bigger, where it really makes the power. and sppol around 3000 RPM depends on your application
The Ct's flaw is the exhaust housing, its pretty small.
Ct was specifically built for 6-7 PSI, where ppl are pushing 16-20+ psi.
But do what u want and do it right the first time.
Try to do a little more research to find what you want
60-1 in a ct housing will tend to surge for a whole host of reasons.

I agree that it is pushing it...but its been done. I saw 390 on a car that was just tuned with a Lex and an SAFC II. He was running 16 psi and he felt that was the upper limit of the turbo.
If you are shooting to consistently and reliably run anywhere over 400, you should probably move on to either a BOSS from Suprasport or one of Jeff's JT series.
