anyone have an idea what kinda of power i might get from a 60-1 at like 10-14 psi? i dyno'd 243hp and 286 ft. lbs with stock turbo at 9.5 psi and a really bad BOV..lol just had straight open exhaust after down pipe,,,and a 255 fuel pump... so any ideas guys? i know its impossible to know for sure untill i dyno it... but just curious on a range

Well, as long as you're willing to accept a range, it's easy. Somewhere between 250 - 500 hp, depending on altitude, ambient temperature, tuning, engine condition, dyno, and mods on your car.

Because I made 328rwhp on a good tune at 13psi with a 60-1 CT-26. So it's
very easy he could make 310-340 (plus or minus -ish) on 10-14psi. It's right
at what I would expect. I know others who have made similar power with close
to the same boost levels. I'd say you could easily do more on a very well tuned
car, and I'm sure you could tweak it like made and make more power, or not
tune as well, and get less. He said 10-14psi I did 13psi, made that power, so I
gave what I thought to be a realistic range.

ahh, ok. I guess I expected more than that out of a 60-1. Thanks

you CAN get more out of a 60-1 EASILY, but it takes more boost. The 60-1
doesn't "wake up" until 15psi. at 17psi, you could easily make 360-375 or more
and if you up the boost more there'smuch more there, for sure. The issue over
15psi is getting the air OUT of the motor . (well that's the issue with the CT-26
housing)

Yeah, someone said that you could make up to 500 hp at 15 psi on a 60-1? Was that his response or was I seeing things? No way, no shape no how are you going to make 500hp on a 60-1 unless it is on a V-8 or you give it enough NO2 to damn-near blow it up.

What would you say max psi on a 60-1 would be, did the turbo last? and what made you go with somthing else? Thanks

a full on 60-1 is a lot different than a 60-1 wheel in a ct26.

a car i tuned was in the low to mid 400's in the 15-17psi range on a full 60-1

it would have made 500 on more boost, but didnt want to push it on pump gas.

^ What he said. A 60-1 wheel is not HAPPY in a ct26 housing.

A 60-1 in a to4e housing with a p trim turbine is VERY happy. (500hp happy)

Yeah, I had a Turbonetics "P" trim 60-1 with .58A/R exhaust rebuilt by u and I wanna see what mine will do on the 2J once installed and tuned on AEM EMS! :evil2:

a good baseline number for the 60-1 CT with supporting mods (exhaust *duh*, air/fuel) is around 325-350ish

Before I bought my 60-1 ct, I did some reading up and the majority of the graphs were around those numbers. Conservative tune, suitable for DD. You can squeeze a decent amount more power out of the 60-1 CT, but longevity of the turbo suffers.

I recently purchased one. I have no fuel upgrades yet But Will be running it on the stock levels with only intake and exhaust. It should produce more power on stock boost correct? also will I hit fuel cut?(I remeber searching about the 57 trim and it didn't hit fuel cut with intake/exhaust)Also if not what psi will it generally hit fuel cut

thnx!
