They're Lucas injectors...basically the same as RC. I have not used them, but everyone I know that's got a set has liked them. They're cheaper than RC too ;)

well yes and no. the lucas/rc were disc type whereas these are pintle. however, i do believe rc did switch to pintle type not long ago.

daveh and i have sold countless sets of these and never had a problem. ultra smooth idle, very tuneable, and respond well at low and high pressure.

also to note, these are actually 580cc injectors, not 550cc.

i cant beat that price for that small of an injector tho, $349 w/ clips is a smokin deal.

The ebay ad is selling them as Lucas :dunno:

When did RC switch to pindle type? That's news to me....

yeah i noticed that. they are also selling them as 550cc. i would venture a guess they do this for searching purposes. how many people search pte 580cc injectors? they would probably get more hits if they put in "jdm" too haha.

as far as rc, i think it was last year sometime when i heard about it. i havent confirmed as true, but there have been several websites talking about the switch.

Good info...didn't know that ;)

From what I've read on pindel vs disc, it's basically a different method of metering the fuel...from what we can tell, not a lot of difference in the way the motor runs.

totally agreed. i can't touch that price either. :(

that said, be sure they have the inlet modified to fit the 7M rail....in the stock form, they won't work.

Where can I get some 440 injectors for the 1jz swap I'm trying to do? Should I go with something bigger than that like the 550's? I just don't know how hard it is to do the wiring on the 550's. I'm only hoping to make about 375-400 horsepower. Do I even need larger than stock injectors?

Sorry for the hijack, but it looked like you got your answers............lol

Thats what i heard. What dr. jones said. RC says their injectors are modified to fit the 7m rail. I didn't know that was nessecary but Ive been reading and it seems to be true.

RC has done nothing to their inj. the PTE (delphi/siemens) injectors, however, need to be modded to fit. look @ the inlet:

yes the pte injectors need to be modified to fit the rail. they are a tad larger in diameter and have to be machined down to fit inside the rail. they are also a tad longer than stock and will require a small spacer on the rail mounts. how muc(or if all) will depend on the condition of the stock damper/spacer.

you can purchase them pre-machined from pte but i dont know if this guy buys them this way or does them himself, or if they are machined at all.

I have the 780cc Delphi injectors installed on my engine, no problems with fit, and yes they machined the top port. (It is turned down to fit correctly into the stock 7MGTE fuel rail.)

Came packaged in a nice plastic case with foam padding, arrived on time, and the price rocked.

One of these days I'll get around to installing the Maft Pro and running this car again. (It's passed garage queen status, and has moved on to obtaining "I have been in jackstands for 1/2 a year status in the garage..."

LOL
