From what ive seen a 5 second pass in the 1/8th is considered pretty fast. Drag car status fast...

It was very interesting. I just didnt understand why he said that 2js are unreliable at 1300hp. I was always under the impression that there are guys out there making these numbers all day long.

I don't know Ian..........Is that fast for a powerful MKIV? I don't see much 1/8 mile posted, but I bet some of the 7-8 second quarter MKIV's can do it with a 2jz.

Impressive to me none the less.

A 5 sec eighth is like a 7-8 second quarter. The second eighth they are going so fast that it happens fast. you figure if their average speed between the the 1/8th mark and the 1/4 mark is 150mph then they go 2.5 mi per minute, which means they can do an 8th in 3 seconds.

P.S. i like your new supra!

Nelson Racing Engines are insane. They motors have to be rebuilt every 3 years or so (according to their site), but they put down well over 1300 RWHP consistantly. Talk about stout motors.

Insanely expensive.

Titan motorsports and Boost logic's cars run high 4s low 5s in the 1/8
Both of those guys have a pretty strong contender knocking on their door with DaveH. I am fairly confident that he will be well into the 7's by the end of this season with a stock stroke 2jzge.Na-T
