Hey, just wanted to see if there is anyone here from the San Antonio area that could fill me in on a couple things.

I'm going to be moving there within the next two months or so from so cal.

i have a 1j currently, will that be an issue with smog/visual inspection? Or how does that all work?

What is there to do in SA? i've only driven through there and have not ever stayed there or gone around town and i don't know anyone that lives there so i'm not very familiar with anything.

any other pointers or advice you guys could throw in would be greatly appreciated.

thanks everyone.

its not san antonio.. but i have a friend here in houston that has a 1j and he said that he just had to slap on a cat and it passed... Texas emissions is pretty lenient.. and i think its heavier here in houston than San Antonio

San Antonio is a major metropolitan area so there is everything to do. Downton has, of course, the Alamo and the River Walk is a cool place to hang out in the evenings and drink a beer. It's also a military town. Lackland AFB is where all AF recruits go. I think it'a a cool town, although a bit too humid for me in the summer. Austin is only 90 miles away and it has a great night life scene. And you got the Texas Hill Country which is beautiful. Lots of lakes around.
