Has anyone here experienced 4:10 gears.. If so how is the highway cruising ? gas mileage ? daily drivability ? If not what do you recommend ?

Every 89 I've seen (including 1st-2nd month production vehicles), has had a 3.73, and all of my documentation shows all 1989's came with 3.73:1 rear ends.
So until anyone posts a picture of a data tag from an 89 with a 3.91 axle code on it. I'm sticking to my guns, haha.
I made an offer of $20 USD about 2 years ago to anyone who could post a picture of an AE86 GT-S with an A/T, nobody ever has. I think this is the first time I've said it for this, but I'll PayPal $20 to anyone who has a picture of an 89 data tag with a 3.91 diff code.
EDIT: It should be mentioned (but I believe it is understood), that this applies to any North-American vehicle.

Well, highway milage isn't that bad in my car, around 9.5-10l/100km, whatever that works out to in MPG. Cruises a little high for my liking (about 4000 cruising at 140km/h), but gets into boost fast that way.
I break my 285s loose at 100km/h.
I'm considering droping down to a 3.73 or 3.54 just to see how much of a difference it would make.
