i was wondering what you guys thought of this idea. Take 300m coils and fab up having the coils sit uptop of the spark plugs like on the 2JZ motor. Would clean up the engine bay more and perform better to the best of my knowledge. what do you guys think? trying to get input before i embark on this adventure

could be done, but they are quite long for the 7M head. Easy to shorten though. I actually was at one time planning on using them on my 1UZ swap because they were the correct length until I found a toyota factory toyota coil that will work also.

y not use the 2j or 1j coils? wouldnt they be the right lenth? someone did that with the j series coils.
1J coils are a lot harder to come by and 2J coils IIRC have built in igniters so they will not work.
I might be wrong on the 2J coils as I have never really looked into using them on anything.

the 2jz coils have been powering the Titan 2jz powered Celica to the mid 7's without any issues
