BHG. 140k miles. 86.5. got head off today. It was swiming in oil..and i mean swiming. valve cover gaskets where suposed to have been replaced and weren't.:: angry ::

Q: can i get 300hp out of stock pistons?

Your Best bet to get anywhere near that much power is to up the compression ratio and Nos the shit out of it till it blows! I knew someone that was running Nos on a 7MGE that was running 13 sec 1/4 miles.. Probably still not 300 HP though

The stock GTE piston are good for higher horsepower. Maybe if the GE pistons were treated, they might be good. But again getting 300 out of an NA is extremely hard lol. Im thinking after-market pistons and rods and going for a bigger stroke :D

Stock GTE Pistons would also lower the compression ratio.

Here's what you do - if you want power - swap in another engine. 204hp is pretty much as far as you can go on a GE, which is what it puts out anyway.

Yes, theres a guy on here that has done a 3.5 N/A but that's taken insane amounts of money, from what i remember of his build.

For build - have a budget in mind. You have a horsepower figure in mind already. A 7M-GTE with BPU's would output 300hp. A 7M-GE would require massive investment for the same return.
