300-450whp build help

Hi,

This winter I plan on rebuilding my 87's engine.
My goal is 300-450whp. What are all the parts you guys recommend?

I know I dont need some of these parts, but I'm gonna get them anyways to make sure I have a solid engine.

My list so far of the items I will purchase:

New Pistons
Valves ?
Main Bearing
2.5" Intercooler piping
Full 3" exhaust
Metal Head Gasket
Gasket Set
ARP Studs
Upgrade to 57. trim CT26
Boost controller
Walbro Fuel Pump
550cc Injectors

Will I reach my goal with this? Do I need anything else?

Uh, a stock ct26 can make around 300 rwhp if you've got a strong engine.

you should beable to get 400 make sure your AFR is good the stock maf will only alow your to run i beleave some where between 10-12 psi if im corect.

What is AFR? Air fuel Ratio?

A wing to add +50 HP... lol but on a serious note....
u going to use stock rods??? cuz they can handle what your looking at...
u need something to tune maft SAFC I or II, and a wideband (AEM, PLX M300, etc)
i suggest getting bigaarons stud kit for the exhaust mani 10MM or 7/16.....

I'm not sure...What would you recomend? For everyday driving and that ocasional street race...heheh...What would be a good over all boost level?

with that setup you could get 18psi if it was tuned right and everything was to spec. that is if you have enough fuel, and something to trick your maft.

You should put down 350rwhp pretty easy with that setup. and a good tune and you prob will see 400. I would use my build as a guide line.

i dont think you will need a new short block. (nor will you find one :icon_bigg ) but most of the stuff on that build is what ur gona want for that kind of power. and a strong engine.

trust me this is worth every penny it's helicolied....read up on it....
stock rods need to be balanced prepped and shot peened
stock valves should be fine as well
and im guessing your ging to use a lexus afm???
