3 Warning lights

So driving my car to work I had three warning lights come on: brake, battery and rear bulb lights.

I noticed some mild whining noises (best description I can think of) earlier this week. It would only do it at idle. I'm assuming it's the alternator, though I've yet to do any testing; One thing I did notice was that my windshield wipers were sluggish.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

easiest way to verify its the alternator is to check voltage at the battery when the car is running. It should be ~14 v. Turn on the headlamps/blower to full speed/ and defrost on to make sure the alternator can still keep up.
