It was raining when I took the pics. No sun out = no shiny paint.

The front coilpack is the only one that is exposed. The coilpack cover helps a lot, the car has never had any problems starting/driving and has been in the rain many times.

I don't like the middle one I think IT ruins the flow of the cowl hood. makes it look like many civics I see running around with hoods like that. Though the side vent Looks good and would be very functional for letting heat escape near the turbos.

The middle one looks really nice! These cars do seem to build up a lot of heat under the hood. I've been considering putting some vents or heat extractors on each side at the top of the hood since every time I open the hood after driving there's a huge heat wave.

letting the turbo vent while sitting in traffic is a good idea.
i always see heat rising from mine. thats why i placed it right over the turbo, definately functionality over looks.
well, except for this. it just looks like crap

Yes it's a CF hood, T701jz (Noel) put in the vent over the turbos, my gf's dad helped me put in the vent over the high pressure zone.

Both vents are completely functional, although the vent over the high pressure zone is much more important and far more functional. I will disregard the fact you compared my car to a civic.

If you're having problems with heat in the engine bay, the first thing you should do is get some exhaust heat wrap. It will make the biggest difference in underhood temps. A proper front undercover will also make a difference in cooling (and improve hwy mpg) if you currently have no undercover.

Thanks for the compliments! :D
