Ok, So I bought the 1jz/2jz IC from Driftmotion and I also bought the pipe set that came with it.
Now, my problem is, I cannot figure out how in the living hell to hook it up...I see a way sorta to hook up the IC on the turbo side, but hooking it up from the Tbody side is well, I don't see how its possible...
here is the piping and IC mounted up...HELP!!! Am I just dumb or do I need to bend these or get custom stuff...BTW I've never done this before so I'm a complete noob.

Also I have taken off the 2 small fans on the Tbody side and well it still seems like a crammed area...

Pictures!

BTW the pipe all the way to the left the one that isn't wrapped up is a 3" pipe and not a 2.5"

what i used on the TB side is this

180* coming off the intercooler, had to weld in a 2 inch piece in the middle to move it back far enough

90* coming off the 180* pointed straight up to the throttle area

75* coming off the 90* to connect to the throttle body

You might have to adjust the intercooler. Think outside the box. I will be dealing with that next week. Hopefully. Send some better pics. From diff angles

Believe me, you can adjust it only so much...just seems like the pipes are pretty much worthless.

dude, are you kidding?

its a universal pipe kit, you will have to cut the pipes to fit, its not hard the exhaust side is like two pipes and the intake requrires about 4 lengths. those pipes were never meant to just bolt up and away you go. i would recommend getting a 2.5 inch O.D pipe cutter though, waaaaaaay easier.

edit: is this 2j on stock twins or singled?

Whoa there buddy, I never said I knew what I was doing. Cutting these just doesn't seem right, as they all have lips on them. But cutting is what I did figure...
BTW it is stock twins...Single is next year.

Yes you have to cut them to make it fit. The kit does come with some decent couplers and T-bolt clamps so they should not come off even without the lip.

Cool!
That was my concern, no lip = popping off ><

Thanks all for the replies.

They will be fine if you tighten them down, especially if you have t-bolt clamps. I did mine with a univesal kit aswell, and used a hacksaw to cut them.

I strongly suggest spending the extra money to have as much of it welded together as possible to get rid of any extra clamps. Also they can weld small beads around any edges that don't have lips.

i cut mine to fit it held fine (only prob was off the turbo) used t bolts routed the TB straight down and around the bumper/fender area to the IC and routed it just like the 7m CT26

At least it's map based so it will still drive when they pop off....

You can do it this way.

I know the picture sucks on the throttle body side, but it's all three inch and we reduced it to 2.75 to meet the IC piping going to the outlet of the IC. After I finished this single and rebuilt engine, the IC couplers would pop off. I go so tired of having to deal with one of pipes coming off (with T-bolt clamps no beads) that I remade the whole IC pipe system and left the kit with only 5 strait couplers and no elbows. If those elbows blow, they cost money to replace and will be a headache to find and will most likely have to wait for it. Strait couplers are easy to find.

Yea, I was going to try and go full 3" from the T body, but the pipe holding on the BoV is only 2.5 and I've read time and time again that I need to have the BoV as close as possible to the Tbody. So I was figuring I might as well just do 2.5 all the way down...
