Could it work? The Celica in question is the ST model, which according to wikipedia only weighs about 2200 lbs, 1200 lighter than the Supra the engine was intended for. That'd make this Celica basically into a rocket, wouldn't it? Thoughts?

1989 celica? I think you mean the 1984 celica...

anyhow, yes, already been done. Toysport has a silver st liftback with a 2jzgte. I was this >.< close to buying it. Crap.

Damn! So much for that idea being original... I could always pull a Rice and Ridiculous and put a 2jz in a fast back...

Hey Clip y would anybody out there want to waste time and money in putting in a 2jz into a mini van. The idea sucks even for a yaris. Some car r just not ment to go fast.

holy shit 89, that was sarcasm.

and the yaris can hold its own against other cars in its class, not like its a total POS.

but now that you have to stop and think about the 2j sienna, consider converting it to a mid engine, awd monster. in fact, just take the mazda mpv and put the engine directly behind the drivers seat.

take the Celica put a RB26DETT in it with the full 4 wheel drive system. That sound original to me. a little nuts and expensive but original and cool

a celica with an RB26 and functioning ATTESA-ETS?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

that would be neat though, I suppose but I'd rather do it in an S14. Full Race finished theirs recently so they have turn key swaps as an option now.
