Hey guys,
So first lets get something out of the way. Yes I am new to this forum and supras. However, I am not new to cars. Im no master tech but I know what im doing to a managble extent. But here is my probobaly dumb question. Im looking to swap a 2jz into my MK3 supra and in looking for a motor and Iv noticed that the 2j's with an auto trans are way cheaper than those with manual. Is it harder to convert them to manual for my swap? And also Is there any major differences between the 2j from the supra and aristo? Would this mean alot more pain in the ass work? I appreciate ya'lls responses in advance.

The difference between the 2 is one is a front sump and the other is a rear sump but i can't remember which is which. The other thing is IIRC the newer Aristo engines had vvti. I can remember what years but i know there is someone on here who knows. If i am wrong please correct me.

So there is no difference between the automatic and the manual then besides the obviouse? Thanks for the responses guys. So is that sump pan being in a different place gonna make my swap harder?
