Sounds like your ISCV is not working.
If ISCV is not used, your TB needs to be adjusted so that SOME air gets past.

Observe your WB and Ignition-timing readings as well...Too rich and getting an idle is difficult. To advanced or sloopy timing and you are strugling as well...should be around 10-15* BTDC at idle on JZ's.

Get a 13-15 afr with 10-15* timing and it should run if its correctly set up (example: 10*commanded timing actually IS 10* on the crank pulley).

Im not using AEM, but the VE-table is the main fuel table in any EMS (once warmed up). Adjust it 10-20% lower in the idle areas.

Good thing about idle is that you can test and fail multiple times without causing damage. It's a learning curve thats quite steep.

The bummer part about aem is there is no auto tune feature. Someone has created a hotkey.exe but I found it not worth the time. So your honestly stuck dialing in the VE table on your own.

you can make global changes to get you of the to rich/lean conditions by going to display, show full display, then down to Microsec/bit and sjusting that up and down. Make note of where you started and that will add/pull fuel all across the board till you can get to a tuner, or dial in the tune yourself.
