those 2jzgte 5 speed are be W58 their same supra non turbo......

anyways... they say the w58 holds about 300-400 horsepower and i dont think the 2jz is a direct bolt-in with the cressida. search how people bolt the 1jz into the cressida and whatever they do you need to do.

you will need motor mount brackets from a JZX81 or JZX90, and if that 2JZGE you're getting has a rear sump oil pan, you will need to swap it out with a front sump pan.

Also if that W58 came out of a MKIV supra, then you're going to have to do something about the shifter. On my friend's cressida we tried swapping out the extension housing from a MK3 W58 but it didn't work out for us, so we ended up using the MK3 W58 transmission with the JZ W58 bellhousing.

complete setup motor an trans..... 2JZGE AN W58 TRANNY...

Okay, that's what I thought.

What would have to be done in terms of electronics? I've read in the past that not only is it possible to run a 2JZGE off of the 7MGE ECU and Loom, but it's fairly easy (It's a matter of swapping around a couple of senors to 2JZ ones and getting something to control the fuel, apparently). Any truth behind this?

I have often thought about going 2JZGE as a stop gap for a full blown NA-T setup.
