ok so i planning on doing a 2jzge swap on my mk3 supra. and i found an engine out of a gs300 with 75k on it for 350. of course they say the engine is good and engine looks clean n all but did the 2j have any main probs like the 7m did? and wat do i need to watch out for. i dnt wanna waist my money again.

Sounds to me, that if your concern about a 2jzge with just 75K miles for 350 is an expense. Then defiantly doing the 2jzge swap will put a good size hole in your wallet lol. Even if you had to do a headgasket swap or even a full tear down, 350 for that 2jzge with those miles is one hell of a good deal. And it is very common for GS300 guys to swap out the 2jzge for a 2jzgte that's a very common thing on Clublexus.

Pull the pan, check the bottom end bearings.
Pull the valve covers, check the cam and valve clearances.
Replace any seal and belt you can get your hands on,
Install <this step is not going to be cheap

IMO there is no need to pull the head.

If inspections check out, youll have an extremely reliable vehicle.
