2jz valve covers gaskets for 1jz?

I searched and know this has been covered before and apparantly 2jz valve covers do work for the 1jz with some modification
Just wondering however whether it matters if its for a 2jzgte or 2jzge?
and also no one really specified what "slight modification" means?

Why don't you just get 7m valve cover gaskets im pretty sure those are a direct fit

Just get 7mgte ones they are in fact direct fit.
