Ok, so after looking at my friend's 7m, I just want to be sure I have the idea right when it comes to this heater pipe routing. I have attached a rudimentary idea. No laughing at my 'during work hours quick ms paint skillz' :biglaugh: :sarcasm:

Obviously the 7m has the water pump pipe on the other side, I just don't know the exact flow. And does coolant go into the top of the radiator and then down, or vice versa? I need to place my inline water temp sensor before the radiator so I know what the engine running in terms of temp. Thanks for any advice/help!

ive been told it doesnt matter.. but ive always placed it to whats closest. the back of the head connects to the firewall and the lower section running under the exhaust manifold connects to the other

normal temps on both the mkiii and sc300 on the 2jz swaps

OK, so after checking tsrm and guessing at flow patterns for the 2jz, I have concluded that the drawing I created, is indeed, correct. The only thing missing is the flow from the top of the radiator to the bottom and into the water pump. Another crucial piece down for those 2jz'ers looking!

That is how the flow SHOULD go, but I've just reversed it in the past (instead of the left side hose going all the way to the right side of the block just go to the head).

Eh, I'd rather stick with it, I don't want anything caught one way to reverse into the system the other way lol So now it's raining again and should for a few days... so much for first start tomorrow...

Your diagram is the way I had mine hooked up until my heater core took a dump. Running it the opposite way would clean up the heater hoses, though, so I may try that when I replace the core and will report back!

Gonna add this to the NA-T sticky :)

Sweet, I hope to add a bunch more info this weekend once the rain stops and I can do some actual mini-write-ups within my build thread along with pictures and maybe some first-start video. There's a lot of information I have learned that would have been so much easier had someone said something in the first place lol I hope to contribute more!
