hey guys, long time lurker. the info on this sight is way better for NA-T than my.is, so i've decided to ask you guys. i'm in the middle of my 2jzge build for my 2001 lexus is300. i'm looking for around 450whp, and zero lag, this may be difficult to do, but i believe the hx40 can get me close. however, i've been trying to find an hx40 for a decent price and run across a holset h2c, for about 250$ bnib. this turbo is a smidge bigger than an hx40 if my research is tright, but what do you guys think? can i achieve my goals with this turbo? i'm running a 3 inch exhaust, and a q45 throttle body, 550cc injectors, and a walbro 255. also running an aeromotive fpr with return line. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well really it hard to say what you think zero lag is. Lag is kinda a personally preference. Ever person has idea of what is normal, what be better would be to say when you want to start building boost, and what rpm you want max boost at and your max boost level?

hx35 should be able to get your there.

i thought the hx35 would be too small, if its not, would an hy35 do it as well? with less lag due to the exhaust housing?

my redline will be 7-7500 rpm. i'd like to reach positive manifold pressure by 2500 rpm, full boost (16-18 lbs) by 4500 is this even possible?

I didn't say 4 inch vband, i said 4 inch downpipe opening, but yes, what you did there, i'm doing it too. lol. i love vbands, they make everything so much nicer. i'm doing wiggins clamps on the ic piping.

turbo is here!!!!!

i need a new manifold. my manifold is a turboeast logmanifold with a t4 flange, and its bottom mount, so the turbo hits my engine mount, and obviously since ist a t3 turbo, it wont bolt up. this sucks. any ideas?

back from the dead... whats going on with the build my man? looks like you need to hit up ebay and order a chinky chanky exhaust manifold hack off the t4 flange and wastgate flange and have a t3 flange welded on since thats an internaly gated hotside... hurry up, lets get this thread going and that car on the road

any updates? i am going to be going hy35 or he351cw on my next setup after i crank some nice numbers on my 57 trim ct26 :)...but i suggest you run a cx racing or ebay style t4 manifold and run a t3-t4 spacer riser it will sit great and you still have room to make a 90* elbow downpipe
