2jz installation help?

Ok hey all wow its been along time I didnt even know if my log in would still work lol anyway I have a 87 shell now and I want to put in the 2jz single turbo now how should I prepare for this (I know I need the motor,R154,1j bell housing) But what else I dont have the 7m that was in the car so basically I need all (drive shaft,transmission,motor etc).

So I didnt know if there are some alternative routes since I wouldnt be using any 7m parts (cause I dont have any) if anyone has some info on what I should do then let me know I dont know if there was a post like this already if so please delete mine and send me a link to what I need to do to start this project Im looking foward to doing this swap when I start I will definantley post pics and all.:naughty:

You could just do a 1jz too, cheaper.

But the 2jz is pretty easy swap too, you will need either 89+ crossmember or just buy some Bic mount adapters. There are tons of writeups on the wiring so that should not be a problem.

The only 7m parts you really need is a resistor box for the injectors I think, someone will correct me on this.

I thought the 1j was more money? I was going to get a 2j from a lexus theres no big difference right?

1jz is about the same, 2jz just cost a tad more cause you have to buy a few extra parts. 90% of the time the 2jzs people swap in are front sump artisto motors, so you have to buy a mid/rear sump oil pan from a supra 2jz. Its not that big of a deal, but its the only real thing that splits the two price wise.

I found this 2j for 350 shiped from a lexus so I am going to get that one I think thats a good price what do yall think? But no they dont have any turbo lexus here USA Florida <<< here
