2jz injectors for 1jz?

Ok, before most of you spazz out. Ive done a lot of research before asking. I realize the usdm 2jz injectors are 550cc and need a resistor pack......im intersted in the jdm 440cc injectors. I know the clips are the same and they both pop right in using the same fuel rail as well.....The problem im having is after the 440cc injectors are in, do i have to tune the car to achieve the hp gain? Or can i increase the air flow (upgrade intercooler pipinp)? Or can i use the 2jz map sensor? Thanks again

Always better to tune more even if stock.

Can upgrade ic piping stock.

Can use 2jz map sensor. Going to do the same thing as the 1jz just let you run higher boost.

You need a piggyback to pull the added fuel from the bigger JDM 2JZ injectors. Running bigger intercooler piping and/or using a 2JZ MAP sensor won't change/trick anything. In fact, the USDM/JDM 2JZ and the 1JZ MAP sensors are the same. The only difference is the USDM 2JZ uses a MAF for calculations (MAP sensor for other things) and the JDM 2JZ and 1JZ use the MAP sensor for calculations. In short, there is no way outside of a piggyback to not run overly rich.

Yeah if you dont tune the new injectors your going to be running very rich

I have a SAFC & BBC, 550's and a single... running decent still needs a better tune when im up to it
