2JZ - GT4088 and 550's???

Can one of you flow chart gurus tell me if I can run the GT4088 at 18 psi safely on 550cc injectors on a 2J or whether I will need to go with larger injectors.

No answers but reading on SF, it appears that a 61mm will start to max 550s on a 2J at around 20 psi. I will take it that I need bigger injectors.

I would. Just for the extra head room.

You might be ok with 550s but what if something happens like an unexpected boost spike or boost creep and you don't have enough injector to handle it? That would suck. :|

from what I remember when flowing the GT40-88 out for the 1JZ, it maxed out 550s around 20psi. The 2JZ will max that turbo out much sooner.

Dont' quote those exact pressure ratios, as I was calculating for my elevation, and even then, it was a while ago, but this turbo will max out the injectors. Get a set of 800cc injectors, that's what I did

A 1JZGTE with a GT40-88 will max them out in pump gas. Around 500whp and 18-20psi depending on mods.

A precision GT40-88 with the better exhaust wheel and housing is good to 650whp, far beyond the reach of 550's.
