2jz cams on 1jz

im new to the forum, so i was wondering do the 2jz cams fit in the 1jz head
i want to buy some aftermarket cams but here i really dont have much choice, really i can only get 2jz cams
so i be thankfull if someone told me if they fit, or is there any way of machining the head so they fit

They will need to be machined a little bit, but they work,

Check supraforums ( 1jz section ) or here in the GB section, ZaZZn is running a GB for 1JZ cams from Crower you just might be able to get in...

it´s just a matter of availability, here i have a wider range of 2jz cams to choose from so i was wonderin g how hard is to place the 2jz cams on the 1jz

what is wrong with the 1JZ cams ?

stock 1j cams drop the power around 6200rpms. Stock 2j cams will not drop off the power till redline.

2j cams need a few thoustandths take off of where the cam sits in the front journal. Most machine shops should be able to do this.
