FYI.... Here's the link to the Aristo's body plug pinout I was working on. Note that it actually consists of 4 different plugs in one larger one (Thanx for the info Arnout).

http://www.geocities.com/g099521/MKIII/2JZ_SWAP/pinout_test.xls

I suggest you print it off and make/label your connections and document them. If anyone else has more info/suggestions please let me know and I'll update the doc.

I am using the body plug as an intermediate connection point. Once the swap's done and all's running well, I will probably eliminate the unused wiring and plug... I have the 7M engine harness connectors I'm using to the dash, as well as a generic one that I am using for the auto connections at the plug that would've gone to the 7M ECT.

I am all FUBAR from messing with the wiring today, having a cold, and a few Rum & Cokes. I can really use some examples of how to run/connect the 3 EFI/12V power wires from the junction box. Do they go to the engine harness AND the dash plug (B1?).

Anyways, I hope this stuff helps enuff ppl to just get on with the swap and not be overly intimidated by the wiring. Thanx for all your help and support!

That Arnout - he is totally industrious, and one of the first to provide excellent 2JZ->MkIII documentation. He types English very well for a foreigner, too; I wish more AMERICANS could speak, type and write in English as well as Arnout.

Thanks for the link.

Yeah Arnout and Urbano were the ones to make me really want the 2J in my MKIII, years ago.

If we keep all the wiring info in here, it would help others find it easier.

So, I'm almost done... Staying dirty on purpose, 'til after the emissions inspection. I want them to think that it's been in there for years.

Now, I just need to finish up the wiring. It's been awhile, so I'm goin' off some old notes.

Here're the Aristo body and ECU connectors...

Here're the connectors I'm using for the intermediate harness.

Now I am just trying to figure out what best way t o wire up the power...

Should I take it from the C1 connector (by the fusebox) to the MKIII B1 connector (at the dash), then to the ECU wires (Batt, M Rel, etc)? For some reason, I keep thinking that I need to connect these two 1st, then run to the ECU wires. It used to be very clear to me, but I am just lost with it right now... THANX!

THANKS!!!

I've spent countless hours searching for anything even a fraction as useful as this on SF, and I found it in an instant here. :)

Looks like I need to change forums. lol
