2j swap drewgo downpipe won't fit

I have a drewgo t4 manifold and downpipe. The turbo is a precistion t67.

For some reason the downpipe (3-inch) won't fit because it is rubbing up against a coolant outlet/inlet. It is rubbing to the point that I can't even get the downpipe to sit flat enough against the turbo to connect the vband clamp (no matter which way i place it).

I know some folks have had a downpipe sitting real close or up against this outlet... But has anyone had this problem where it wouldn't fit at all? What did you do?

I'm guessing I'm just going to have to get a custom downpipe.

Super.secret (ed.d.) bent the metal coolant line a bit. Just enough to get the DP flat against the turbo. He then wrapped the DP with heat wrap so the hose woudn't burn.

I ran into the same problem when I went single on my 2J. Since I wanted to keep the heater, I used the 1JZ water pipe. The 1JZ pipe will clear the downpipe, all you have to do is block off the small coolant port for the rear turbo. If you aren't going to keep your heater, you can always just bend the port on your 2JZ water pipe to clear the downpipe and weld it shut.

It's an easy fix as long as the engine is out of the car. Other than that it fucking sucks having to change out that pipe.

China manifold & china 3" Vband downpipe with flex pipe, spent 180 for both.
Garret GT35R from ATP turbos.

The only downfall of this is the downpipe is its to short to put the cat in the same place with out extending it.

i cut the pipe short and re-welded it.i use an external oil cooler,so don't need coolant pipe wrapping around the block

Unfortunately engine is in the car. I have been debating whether or not I want to keep heat in this car and I'm leaning towards yes (although I already ditched ac). I tried for a few minutes to bend it back last night and I'm afraid I'm going to damage the damn thing and then theres no turning back.

At the moment I'm also debating on cutting the downpipe right before it hits the outlet and having a shop route it around. Considering I'm going to have to get a pipe welded to connect to my catback anyway.

my coolant pipe was taken off after the motor was in the car.i just cut it in a couple of spot's with a swaz-all to get it off.welded it then bolted it back up to the water pump.
