It would be cool if they made a successor to the PSP, with integrated cellular phone, and it could take these. You would have an iPhone/Android killer right there. I thought it was impressive that I was able to get a 4GB MS PRO DUO for my PSP 3 years ago. Apparently you can get 64 and 128GB USB flash drives now, for the same price that 4 and 8GB drives were just 4 years ago.

Mhh. for storage sure, but for speed...FUCK that SSD FTW!
Flash memory also deteriorates after so many writes.
Its cool, but I wish it was a SSD that was 2TB and cheap.

Storage: SSD + capacity + cheap
That's the same as
Supra: Fast + Reliable + cheap
Pick two.

I've been using a pair of OCZ SSDs in RAID-0 for about 9 months now. I just wish I had waited awhile. While they are fast, much faster has become available since then for a comparable price.

I DID put them in a quick-swap enclosure that fits in a bay meant for a standard size 3 1/2" floppy drive, and fits two "laptop" drives, so removing/replacing is as simple as pushing two buttons, swinging two doors, and removing the two SSDs that are pushed out by spring tension as you swing the doors open. The next time I do a big upgrade to my computer, I will most likely use this same type of setup with newer/faster [probably Intel MLC, or SLC is I can afford it] SSDs, in RAID-0 again.

I already have a 16 gb stick in my PSP :). Well apparently the new PSP Go is going to use a new memory stick.. could it be these? Also, PSP Go is kinda trying to do battle with the iphone. I'd rather actually see it as a phone but whatever. I know Sony has a phone coming out that links up with your PS3... and it looks super sexy. I might have to get that one.

I'm really looking forward to the high capacity [and higher!] USB flash drives we have today, made to communicate with the speeds of USB 3.0 when it releases.
Can you imagine backing up a fresh install, and not JUST a fresh install of your OS, but with all of your games and applications, and being able to restore it fairly quickly, all from a small "thumb drive"?
We already have the capacity in thumb drives to do just that, but USB2.0 drags a bit for a speedy restore.
For speed, there is eSATA, but that means you are dealing with a much larger drive.
USB3.0 128GB< thumb drives!

Specs from USB.org

USB1.0 : "Low-Speed" 1.5 Mbit/s, and "Full-Speed" 12 Mbit/s
USB2.0 : "Hi-Speed" 480 Mbit/s
USB3.0 : "SuperSpeed" USB has a 5 Gbps signaling rate offering 10x performance increase over Hi-Speed USB.
