I'm really looking forward to the high capacity [and higher!] USB flash drives we have today, made to communicate with the speeds of USB 3.0 when it releases.
Can you imagine backing up a fresh install, and not JUST a fresh install of your OS, but with all of your games and applications, and being able to restore it fairly quickly, all from a small "thumb drive"?
We already have the capacity in thumb drives to do just that, but USB2.0 drags a bit for a speedy restore.
For speed, there is eSATA, but that means you are dealing with a much larger drive.
USB3.0 128GB< thumb drives!
