i want a 2 step but have not been able to find one what should i use i know msd makes one but dont know what else is required to use it i also read something about a philip long but cant find anything on it if anybody has one tell me what you are using

A Philip Long 2-Step is a two step Rev Limiter for Mk4 Supras. It does not work for Mk3's.

There is also the option of running a MSD box, or the Rush Anti-Lag (more like the AEM 2 step).

The anti-lag part would... much turbulence and shock to the turbine with a late ignition cycle.

Just get a Bee *R. it will still be hard on your turbo, but a little cheaper and less of a hassle than the msd route...

well think about it this way.

There is enough fuel (ie energy) to move our fat ass cars (at a portly 3600 lbs) at a snappy pace. Now instead of the fuel going to move the car forward, you are using it to spin a 1 lb impellar?

Guess what happens to all that lovely heat!

u need a dis-2 plus box from msd there like 600 dollars new but u can go the cheap route crane sells one now its like 350 with the 2step but u use the button on the steering wheel its not like a tunning progam where its built in

DIS-2 will not work unless you buy 2 of them. The DIS=4 is what you want assuming a stock wasted spark system. You also need two msd tach adapters and aftermarket coils since the insulation on the stock coils is not enough to prevent arcing to ground, which requires a set of plug wires to be made(it's easy to modify a set of NGK wires and install the GM terminal ends). Crane does not support a 2-step. A two step alone will not hurt the turbo. It's running the 2-step as an anti-lag type setup that will kill the turbo since you retard the timing to the point where the cylinder is firing while the exhaust valves are open.

FWIW, I don't believe that Bee-R ricer box works with the 7M ignition.

Only seen JZ's with them. (As far as supra use.)
