well im going to have to get a custom drive shaft anyway with the 2j 6spd swap if i can put in the jza80 diff from what i understand it is stronger and i want lsd and the lower gears as i have 4.30 now

JZA80 diff would require a whole bunch of fabrications.

talk to jawsgear. He can get you a 3.54 ring and pinion for like $200. That will work well with the V160.

I honestly dont know how well it would bolt up. The only thing I could tell you to do would be to compare the parts and see. Perhaps you could figure something out.

Stronger? I seriously doubt you need stronger than the stock Toyota diff. Different gears if you're using the V160 but not stronger. I know most if not all of the high horsepower MkIIIs are still on the stock diff.

I've seen an MKIV next to an MKIII and the MKIV has a bolt eyes in the front and is wider in the back .. you would then need a custom drive shaft and custom CV's and some decent metal working skills and a welder .
