As long as they're not leaking, no harm done... IMO unless you're not blowing off enough you're only adding another potential boost leak though!

Just out of curiousity, what is our strongest vacuum source on the manifold? That little nipple in the back? I am currently using the large nipple on the front of the intake manifold (front if you're standing in front of the car) and my bov doesn't seem to be performing the way it should..

Im running no emissions and no other vacuums but AFPR, boost gauge, heater pot and BOV.

I have the bov off the front large nipple.... works just fine. My blitz ss didn't really start making a lot of sound untill I went past the 12psi mark.

They deciding factor is the diameter of the source. Larger the hole source for the BOV's vacuum, the "stronger" the pull.

I don't know off the top of my head, but I'd imagine one of the larger holes in the front, middle, and back of the manifold would be the "strongest."

mine is doing the same....it doesn't make a psssshhhh sound. sounds like it opens slowly and leaks the boost off.

Sounds like it could be a vacuum line too. My brother-in-law had an RX7 R1(93 TT) that we replaced the turbo on, and putting it back together he wanted to use new vacuum hoses(you think ours are a pain, those have ~50 or so little lines running everywhere).
Long story short, it ran like crap because the lines he got couldn't handle the vacuum and just collapsed under vacuum. Upon opening the hood, you couldn't tell because without the vacuum applied, they looked fine. Took a couple days to sort through and figure it out.
If the line is too soft, it won't hold the vacuum.
