The problem isn't making the tranny fit, it's getting the V8 to run without the auto tranny it's used to while still using the stock ECU. If you're planning on running a standalone ECU, the point is moot, of course.
yeah, back when i was digging into it, i read about all the stuff that the ECU wouldn't work w/o the trans....i then talked to a couple of aussie guys that said that was complete crap- just jumper the neutral start switch and you're off. take it FWIW as i never verified this myself....
so what exactly are you putting the engine into...?
shuld be badass when its done....just finished looking at the site...yeah next engine is def going to be a tt 2uz with a 5.5L stroker kit..all the bells and whistles of course
