1jzgte swap question

Hi in swapping my 1987 mk3 7mge to a 1jzgte. I had two questions.

1.How much power can the stock block and head on the 1jz handle?

2. Do i need to still change the bell housing if i use the bic performance pre 89 motor mounts?

Yes of course you need the bellhousing, how are engine mounts going to change the bolt pattern on your block...

Hello Lou,

First of all good luck with your swap. I'm in the process of one, if you would call it one, boy is it fun.

The maximum HP for a stock head and block, that I've seen is 500HP, from suprahero. Can the setup offer more and if it can is it safe, anther member will have to answer that. Although at this point fuel capacity and engine management will be an issue.

You will still need the 1JZ bellhousing, BTW.
